I lived and worked in Indiana until 8/8/2022. Then I moved to New Jersey to work in New York.
I filed for New York Nonresident taxes. When filing for NJ taxes (part-time resident), it asks to remove duplicate. Which one should I remove (click on image to see the complete image)? The salary data is just an example.

@tagteam could you please explain why do I need to talk to customer support regarding this? I think the duplicate can be identified from the information I provided. I am just not sure which duplicate I need to remove.
It was just a suggestion. If you aren't sure which duplicate to remove, others on this board may not be able to make that determination either as no one here can actually see your return.
as a part year NJ resident, do not report ( i.e. subtract) wages earned while an Indiana resident.
@fanfare Thank you! Do you mean I should be removing NY duplicate?
In other words, only NY should have "Remove these wages" checkbox checked?
NJ will give you a credit for taxes paid to NY.
If you are Living Only in NJ, why do you show NJ wages?
I am not sure if I got your question. I have wages from Indiana which does not overlap with any other state. Then I moved to NJ to work in NY. I filed taxes for NY. When I am doing taxes for NJ, it is asking "which of these is a duplicate?".
What should I select as a duplicate?
I moved to NJ in August 2022 to work in NY. I lived in Indiana before that. I know that NY requires all income to be reported in W-2.
My Situation (example):
When filing for NJ taxes, it asks "Double-taxed income while a resident of New Jersey" and "Taxes paid to New York".
Question: how to determine double-taxed income while a NJ resident? The amount taxed by NY (90,000) also contains Indiana portion. What needs to be done here?
Frankly, I don't understand what TurboTax is trying to accomplish in this dialog.
Does your W-2 have more than three lines of state wages?
If NO, that tells me there are no duplicates.
Someone else will have to explain what's going on here.
