need help putting together my tax return

hi there. i need help putting together my tax forms to file. so in my Cali tax return pack i noticed that there is an extra form 1040, a schedule A, a schedule 3, and a 8962. Except for the extra 1040, the other forms on the top of the paper it says "attach to form 1040". Do i attach the extra copy of 1040 to my 540? Do i attach the other forms to the 1040 that i will return as my federal return?

In your case, yes. 

When mailing your return, you'll need to attach your Form 1040 and other supporting forms to your Form 540.

If you attached any federal forms or schedules to your federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR other than Schedules A or B, you'll need to attach a copy of your federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR return, and all supporting federal forms and schedules to Form 540.

What do you need help with?   E-filing your federal and state or mailing your federal and state?   If you choose to file by mail, TurboTax will print out an instruction sheet that will list what documents you need to mail as well as provide you the addresses of the different taxing authorities.  @Victor4111
