My federal tax return was accepted but my Michigan taxes just say started. How long does it take Michigan to accept tax info and do I have to do anything else?

You can only e-file a state tax return AFTER the federal tax return has been processed by the IRS.  Please revisit your state return after the 29th to verify the filing status.

Please see below for details.

If you filed the federal & state at the same time then the state return is forwarded to the state for acceptance automatically once the federal is accepted ... when the state will acknowledge & accept it is unknown... so watch your email for continuing info on the status.
