MN state tax summary discrepancy

Shouldn't the amount to be refunded on state tax equal the difference between the total tax due and the total tax paid? The amount we are being refunded on the state tax is about $200 more than the difference between tax due and tax paid. Can someone explain why that would be?

If you have state refundable credits, your state refund may be more than the tax refund based on withholding only.
