MN Return & Property Taxes

Turbotax Deluxe will not allow me to complete the MN state return without completing the property tax section.  Information required for MN property tax refunds will not be sent to MN residents until March sometime.  A similar post's response says the the MN state return can be completed without entering the property tax section but doesn't explain how.   I could use some guidance on how to bypass this part.  Thanks.

Try this:

  1. Click on the State Taxes tab across the top.
  2. Continue to the Status of your state returns screen, then continue/edit/revisit the Minnesota state return (or begin and prepare if you've not already done so)
  3. Get to the Let's Check for Minnesota Nontaxable Income screen, then select Yes, I want to see if I qualify for these tax benefits.
  4. Click continue/done/no many times (unless you actually want to revisit/prepare another section) until you arrive at the Other Forms You May Need screen. Confirm the Property Tax Refund (Form M1PR) box is checked, then continue. If it is checked, uncheck it or see if you can delete the entry..

You can amend your return later on to claim this credit in your state return.

I think I erred by answering yes to the homeowners eligibility question.  We own & were living in the house on 1/2/2020; we will receive a property tax statement; but there are no delinquent taxes owed.  I originally answered yes to the question because of the word "OR" in the first criterion.  Answering yes brought me to the point that asked for the property tax information.  Clicking on no to the question just says we're not eligible for the refund, which is probably correct.
