I am doing my MN state taxes and I am done except I cannot get past line 7 on the MN state form M1SLC. I have tried every number I can put in, just to see if it will let me skip it, but I can't finish my taxes without it.
Is there a glitch with the software? I just updated this morning.
Thank you.

I am getting the same error. Can't enter an amount on line 7 of M1SLC.
I am experiencing the same issue
Same error!! Anybody hear back from TurboTax?
No response. Can't even get to the point where they give you a support # or whatever. I did find a way to bypass and file it. Going to wait a few days and see if they update before I just file. Probably won't use turbotax anymore after this year
getting same error message. can't input any number (it won't accept.) went into the state tax data and changed my response to the question to no student loans and can get past the screen but when I go to file, the error message pops up again and can't file. can't seem to find a number for support. anyone see one? very frustrating.
Same problem. Have tried everything I could think of. Seems to be an issue after a recent update. Unable to move past the error.
I'm experiencing the same error...
I was able to get around the issue and e-file my returns. Apparently, the form gets hung-up if the amounts on Line 5 are negative. This happens under conditions when the taxpayer does not qualify for the credit. It is recommended in the forum thread linked below to delete the amount(s) in Line 1 and then delete the M1SLC schedule completely. It's not needed if you don't qualify for the credit and aren't applying for it.
Good luck!
Hey mfmckinney,
Thanks for sharing the solution, I was about to start breaking things.
Thanks for the answer, @mfmckinney. And come on, Turbo Tax, fix your crap. Not like you're providing the software for free. I spent over an hour on trying to resolve this.
Thats happening to me too. It's driving me crazy.
Once your income is too high for the credit, the program fails during the review without letting you know the reason. Delete the M1SLC in order to file your return.
Here is the form.

@Msimp10
I am filling jointly. Based on the numbers I qualify for the credit but my spouse does not. Form is getting hung up on line 7 for my spouse, so we cannot file. That is $500 lost just to delete the form M1SLC when filling jointly.
The form should go through when one of you has qualifies, enter 5000 on the line for the person who qualifies.
