Maryland Senior Tax Credit

Why is Turbotax's Maryland State Form not showing Maryland Senior Tax Credit for a filer over 65?  It does not appear anywhere under Maryland Credits or any other place on the form!

Maryland Senior Tax Credit

The Maryland Senior Tax Credit for a filer over 65 is reported on Maryland Form 502CR, Part M and flows to your Form 502 Line 24.

To claim this $1,000 credit, the following conditions, must be met:

  1. You are at least age 65
  2. Your Federal Adjusted Gross Income is under $100,000 if filing as Single ($150,000 for Married Filing Jointly, Qualifying Surviving Spouse, or Head of Household)
  3. This is a non-refundable tax credit, so you must have a Maryland tax liability listed on line 21 of your Form 502 to apply this credit

If you meet all of these requirements and are still not seeing the credit on your form, please let me know so that I can assist you further.
