Working on an amended return in MO. Already submitted the amended federal.
On TT's mailing instructions it lists PO Box 3222 (and matching zip extension).
But the amended MO return itself says PO Box 329 if balance due, PO Box 500 for refunds or no balance due (both with matching zip extensions).
So is PO Box 3222 something special arranged for just amended returns prepared using TT? Or should I disregard that part of TT's mailing instructions and go with what the MO amended return form says?
Thank you.

The PO box 3222 address is used for any MO tax returns with a refund (either amended or original) IF....if the paper tax return has a 2-d bar code. Since TTX prints the forms with the 2D barcode, that's where you send it.

Folks who manually prepare their tax forms on paper and not using software...they won't have the bar codes and would use the other PO boxes.
Thank you, thank you! I didn't think to check the instructions for the form since the form itself listed two mailing scenarios and matching addresses.
