MA non-resident tax return

I am a resident of IL and several years ago I started to work for MA based company. The employer paid my taxes in MA (box 15 W2). I used to file tax returns both in IL as a resident and in MA as a non resident. But last year my employer changed my status to IL based employee who works remotely, and my state taxes were paid to IL (box 15 W2).

Do I still need to file tax returns in both states as before? Or, I can file only one for IL?

MA non-resident tax return

You will only need to file one state return for IL.  This is true if you only had withholdings in box 15 only from IL.

Just enter your W-2 as received then TurboTax will prepare the return accurately.
