Just received 1099-C amended my federal return do I need amend Nj state return?

I already filed my federal amended return with the 1099-C , but I have not amended the Nj State return for the 1099 C do I need to do this? And how do I do it?

It depends on what you received your Form 1099-C for. New Jersey exempts cancellation of debt from income.

If you do have to amend your NJ return, go back into New Jersey. You will see an option asking whether you want to amend your return. Follow the instructions.
