Is it necessary to mail Federal Tax Return Forms (1040A) with my State of Michigan tax forms? A copy was included with my state forms.

Some state require a copy of the federal tax return. If TurboTax printed a copy of the federal return along with the state return for mailing, you should mail it.

Nowhere in the 2016 Michigan 1040 instructions, including Table 3, could I find a requirement to attach a copy of a 1040A (page 1 & 2) for any reason. The program printed it for me and I don't believe it is necessary to attach it to my Michigan return.
