Why are they deducting my Social Security amount from my Public Pension Exclusion instead of the Social security excemption on form MO-A?

In the Missouri income tax return, at the screen Missouri Social Security Adjustment, the software excludes taxable Social Security using form MO-A.

On the form, it states that taxpayers must be age 62 or older by December 31 to claim the Social Security exemption. Age limit does not apply to Social Security disability deduction.
