Indiana state income tax - married in 2018, so when asked about 2017 Indiana income tax, how do I calculate that for our joint return for 2018?

the application is requesting our 2017 Indiana Income tax, but I was not married in 2017.   Filing a 2018 return with my husband as a joint return.

If this is asked concerning a state tax refund, use the 2017 federal tax return for the person that received the refund.
