Tennessee does not have a personal income tax.
The Hall Tax for reporting interest and dividends was repealed for tax year 2021 and all future tax years.
Go to this TN website for information - https://www.tn.gov/revenue/taxes/hall-income-tax.html#:~:text=It%20was%20enacted%20in%201929,or%20af....
There is no need to have the information inside the W2 however if you wanted to use the local income tax for a deduction on Schedule A, there is another way to make sure it gets included. First remove it from your W2.
