if you did not fully settle down in CT ( i.e. bought a house, kids went to school, changed your driver's license, car registration, voter's registration etc. ), then I would say that your home was CO, where you always planned to return. So you are full year resident of CO and possibly non-resident of CT. File a part-year/Non-Resident return for CT and resident return for CO
