If I took the federal standard deduction, do I have to add back any or all of my CT state taxes paid for the CT Income Tax Adjustment?

TT says: "Any Connecticut income tax deducted on your federal return to arrive at federal adjusted gross income must be added back when calculating Connecticut taxable income. Do not add back any Connecticut income tax deducted as an itemized deduction on federal Form 1040, Schedule A." However, I didn't itemize this year because I took the higher standard deduction.

If you took the standard deduction, don't add back anything.
