If I live in Kentucky full-time, but worked in a remote position in Tennessee as a contractor/self-employed individual... Do I need to file for state in Tennessee?

I currently live in Kentucky, but accepted a CONTRACTED REMOTE position in Tennessee at the end of the year. My pay didn't have any taxes deducted at the time of pay.

Tennessee does not tax personal income so you do not need to file a Tennessee return.  You will have to file and report the income on your Kentucky resident tax return.  Because you were an independent contractor, you will need to file a Schedule C to report your income and expenses, as well as pay self-employment tax.

TN has no state income tax.   You pay tax in the state where you live.
