The expanded instructions for the 2025 IA 1040 Line 2 states:
Enter your federal taxable income as reported on federal 1040, line 15. If the amount of federal taxable income is zero, subtract the amount reported on IA 1040 lines 1d and 1e, and federal form 1040 line 13b from the amount reported on IA 1040, line 1c and report this amount (this amount can be negative).
Turbo tax does not appear to subract the federal form 1040 line 13b amount. This results in tax due when the amount on federal form 1040 line 13b is large enough to make IA 1040 line 2, 0

Can you clarify by providing the amounts from your tax return on those lines:
Federal 1040 Line 15
Federal 1040 Line 13b
IA 1040 Line 1c
IA 1040 Line 1d
IA 1040 Line 1e
Federal 1040 Line 15 = 0
Federal 1040 Line 13b =15,442
IA 1040 Line 1c = 23,180
IA 1040 Line 1d = 15,750
IA 1040 Line 1e = 0
Turbo tax puts 7,430 on IA 1040 Line 2 and based on the IA insturctions it should be 0.
I have prepared the return in Taxslayer and another program and theirs comes to the correct place based on the IA 1040 instructions.
