I started a small business in Florida, should I keep filing for Form DR-15, "Sales and Use Tax Return", every 3 months or file Form DR-405 from TurboTax?

My son has started a small business in Florida in 2018 and the Florida Department of Revenue told him to file Form DR-15, "Sales and Use Tax Return". He's been filing Form DR-15 every 3 months. However, when I downloaded TurboTax for Florida, it ask to file Form DR-405, "Tangible Personal Property Tax Return". Is DR-15 good enough for him to file for state tax in Florida and not to file for DR-405? Thank you.

"Is DR-15 good enough for him to file for state tax in Florida and not to file for DR-405?"

The DR-15 is for reporting sales that are subject to (or exempt from) state sales tax and is filed with the state.

The DR-405 is for reporting tangible personal property (assets) used in connection with a Florida-located business or rental property and is filed with the county in which the business/rental is located.

For more information on the DR-405, visit the county property appraiser's web site for the county in which the business is located.
