I moved to Puerto Rico on August 24 to study. I still have my house at GA and my DL. Do I qualify to choose GA as my state of residency?

I started studying on August 2018. I still own a house in GA and I'm making mortgage payments. I rent it until December 30, 2018. Also I continued working remotely for my GA employer until now.

If you plan to return to Georgia when you finish your studies, this is considered a 'temporary absence'.

Since you have a Driver's License and Residence in Georgia, you should file as a Georgia Resident.
