I live in SC and work in NC only 3 months. Which state do I need to file in?

Both. Assuming you didn't work in South Carolina during the tax year, you will need to file as follows:

Since the state you worked in North Carolina does not have a reciprocal agreement with your home state of South Carolina, you'll have to file a resident tax return and a nonresident tax return. On your resident tax return (for your “home” state), you list all sources of income, including that which you earned out-of-state.

Note: To ensure accurate calculations, TurboTax strongly recommend preparing your nonresident state return for North Carolina before you prepare your resident state return for South Carolina. Please view the TurboTax FAQ below for directions on how to file your state tax returns: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3302052
