I live in NJ, but work in PA. Turbotax is trying to get me to file taxes with both NJ and PA. How do I bypass this since these states have reciprocity?

This is the first year where Turbotax is trying to force me to file in both states. How do I bypass this so I can file my Federal and NJ State returns?

Since you will not have a PA state income tax filing (due to the reciprocal agreement between PA and NJ), just select "no" to " Did you make money in any other states?" under the Personal Information section in TurboTax (see screenshots)

You can get rid of a state without clearing your federal return by just deleting the state from your list of states under the "State Taxes" tab.
