Yes, you may need to delete all the zeros entered on form RC and leave the line blank to clear the error. For any boxes that do not have an amounts in on any form, you would leave them blank in TurboTax, instead of entering a zero. You may do a state review:

Thanks for the reply. I have done that. I have zeroed out every line on Form RC, still an error on Form CMS; I have deleted Form RC altogether, still the same error.
Error says: "Credit type Schedule RC should be completed to claim the Research Credit since credit type REARCH and related credit information have been entered on Schedule CMS."
It seems since I have entered a Research Credit on Schedule CMS, albeit a prior year credit carryover, it is still expecting amounts on Schedule RC. However, since I have no current year amounts, there is nothing to enter on Schedule RC and it will not accept 0 as an amount.
I don't know how to get around this. It must be a coding error I have to assume. I have called Turbotax without any luck.
