Can you please clarify what question you have regarding the income?
I received income in my full resident state of PA, and also in my non-resident states of SC and FL. State income taxes were taken out of my SC paycheck but not FL. As I work through TurboTax, there is a "taxes paid to other states" section. Answering the questions, I come upon a page that looks like this :
SC Your amount
Gross compensation ________ ________
Interest Income ________ ________
other info req
then last line...
Tax Due to SC on income above ________ _________
There's a note that states ...
"Amounts in the first column above are the totals from the SC state tax return. Amounts entered in the second column represent the amount that is also being taxed by PA."
So, I'm trying to understand if the second column is PA only, or the total of SC and PA, or the total of SC, PA and FL.
Does that help clarify my situation?
Thank you for you assistance in this matter.
The second column is your gross income for all states. You will be taxed on your gross income in PA, however as a non-resident you will receive refund of your taxes paid in SC. You will need to file your SC non-resident tax return. Florida doesn't have a state income taxes, and no additional entries required there for Florida.
Many many thanks npierson7
