I didn't live in the U.S. last year, but Turbotax won't let me move on without picking a state. What should I do?

I am a U.S. citizen who has lived in Japan since 2020. Turbo Tax wants me to name what state I lived in during 2024, despite the fact that I already input that I live in Japan. It won't let me move on unless I pick one. What should I do?

Unless you are a military member (military members have a State of residence) you can select Foreign or U.S. Territory for your state of residence.
