I did file income tax for 2020(fedral and state) on line on Jan 29th and still pending

Due to all the last minute changes to the tax code, stimulus payments, etc. the IRS has not yet started accepting tax returns. That is why your return is still "Pending". The IRS has said they will start accepting and processing returns on February 12.
