I am on the tax breaks section. Sales tax. It shows that if I use local income tax, my deduction would be $5041, but it only shows $ 1673.

How can I change this amount? Is there a manual override?

You can change it in the Sales Tax section. Navigate back to the section:

• In your open return, select My Account
• Tools
• Topic Search
• Type 'sales tax' in the box, then select GO

Select the Continue with Sales Tax button, then select the EasyGuide. Enter your location and sales tax rate. Continue through the section until reaching the page, We've Chosen a Deduction for You.

Mark the box that you want to change the deduction, then select the radio button for state and local income tax. See below.
