every state that imposes an individual income tax has different filing requirements for non-residents. if you got a w-2 that reflects all wages as being in your home state that's what i would go with even though that's probably wrong. your employer would have to amend the w-2 and probably amend or file payroll tax returns in those states which can make your employer very unhappy. on the other hand if you are self-employed , i would suggest you visit those states department of revenue and look up in the non-resident filing instructions what the filing requirements are.
