I accidentally returned and received a refund as a resident, but I am a non-resident. What do I need to do? Refund or correct the tax form as a non-resident?

No, you will need to file as a non-resident . Turbo Tax does not file 1040NR but our affiliate at sprinttax.com does. My suggestion is to contact them and have them suggest on how to correct this. Please select the hyperlink above to contact sprint tax.

the way to correct this is to prepare the correct 1040-NR and attach it to Form 1040-X.

in Explanation, put "filed with the wrong 1040 form"
