How to calculate portion of dividends from US government obligations?

My 1099-DIV includes dividends from VMFXX, SGOV, VMATX (among others). Do I add all 3 to input portion of dividends from US government obligations? Or is it just dividends from VMFXX & SGOV? I don't understand if muni bond interest dividends are treated as US govt obligations

No, Muni bond interest is broken out in a different part of the follow-up questions.

On the follow-up page that asks about "A portion of these dividends is US Govt interest" , you check that box, then enter JUST the actual US govt bond amount you received from your bond funds.   I don't see VMATX listed as having issued any US Bond interest,

Following that entry there will be a page asking about tax exempt-interest or dividends :  That refers solely to Muni bond interest from your Bond funds and $$ listed in box 12 of your 1099-DIv.   That's where you indicate the $$ amount from your own state's bonds and any US Territories.  All other states bond interest should be lumped together as "Multiple States".

They are treated separately, since the US stuff refers to box 1 $$, and the Muni's refer to box 12 $$
