If you need to make any changes to your stimulus credit responses, search for stimulus and select the jump-to link at the top of the search results to return back to the section. Enter your updated info and Continue.
However, during the Federal Review, TurboTax will check if you meet eligibility requirements for the stimulus payment.
Below are the eligibility rules to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit. You
In general, taxpayers without an eligible Social Security number are not eligible for the credit. However, married taxpayers filing jointly where one spouse has a Social Security number and one spouse does not, are eligible.
There are also AGI limits to receive the full amount of the credit. Your adjusted gross income (AGI) must be below,
For filers with income above those amounts, the credit amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000/$112,500/$150,000 thresholds. This means:
I can't find a way to override the software's calculation. It thinks I am qualified for the stimulus based on 2020 income, which is within the limits. Since I didn't use TurboTax to file for 2019, it can't see that I exceeded the income limits in 2019 and therefore don't qualify for the stimulus payment. (At least that's what I can determine from various calculators).
However, I can't find a way to undo the software's determination that I'm eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.
Is there a way to do this, or should I just let it go through and wait to hear from the IRS to make the adjustment?

The Recovery Rebate Credit is only based on your 2020 federal tax return, filing status and 2020 AGI
Go to this IRS website for the Recovery Rebate Credit - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/recovery-rebate-credit
I haven't file my tax yet. Turbotax software does not allow me to skip the stimulus payment question. If I click 'NO', if will add $1800 Recovery Rebate Credit. But I'm not qualify for stimulus check. The software doesn't have this option.

Again, even if you were not qualified on your 2019 or 2018 tax return you can very well be qualified on the 2020 return. That is why the software is asking the question since you are qualified in 2020.
if you wish to decline the EIP, tell TurboTax you already got it and that will be the end of the matter.
