TurboTax doesn't prepare Local Earned Income Tax returns for the State of Pennsylvania, you would have to file the local return on your own. Here is a PA.gov link that has a list of local Tax Collectors by District.http://dced.pa.gov/local-government/local-income-tax-information/local-income-tax-collector/.

TurboTax does not support Local Earned Income Tax Returns for Pennsylvania.
Please see this help and the Pennsylvania Local Tax Collector to prepare those tax returns.
Imho there are 2 reasons: 1) local taxes are so easy to file from information from the Federal or PA returns that most people can easily prepare and file these themselves for free; and 2) the amount TurboTax would have to charge to support the cost of researching, developing, and maintaining products for each county and municipality would likely far exceed what anyone would want to pay given the info provided in 1), resulting in a negative profit business line. If you like the convenience of filing online, Google Berkheimer and that may meet your needs. P.S. The above discussion may explain why the TurboTax PA return is more expensive than the Federal return. The PA Dept of Revenue website includes a way to file the state return for free and it is very easy to take the numbers from your Federal TurboTax return to complete the PA return yourself.
Ok fine, but if I pay my local taxes myself, where do I deduct it on my Federal taxes using Turbotax?
@ranchhand61 If you paid taxes due in 2023 to your state or local government, you can enter that by going to Federal> Deductions and Credits> Estimates and Other Taxes Paid> Other Income Taxes
