How do i delete spouse information from state taxes

By choosing a filing status such as "Single" or "Married Filing Separately" you will remove your spouse's information. You can use the steps below as a guide to make those changes. NOTE: You can only file single if you are legally separated.

To change your filing status in TurboTax Online:

1. Go to "Personal Info" at the top of the page

2. Select "Edit" next to marital status

3. Select you are "Married"(OR Single), then answer the question "Do you want to file this return together with your spouse?"

4. Answering "Yes" will get you the Married Filing Jointly status, while answering "No" will get you the Married Filing Separately status

5. Continue answering the questions in this section until finished
