How do I adjust my state income amount to remove beneficiary income with state taxes already paid?

Beneficiary funds came from Ohio, and the estate paid the state taxes. I live in Virginia and need to remove that "income" from my state tax amount.

Can you clarify where these beneficiary funds were reported on your tax return?  

Did you receive a Schedule K-1 from a trust or another tax form reported on your federal interview section?

It sounds like the income was erroneously reported on your personal return but were reported by the trust instead.  If this is accurate, go back to the federal interview section of the program and remove the input in the applicable income section where you originally reported.  

For example, if it was a Schedule K-1 form received from a trust that needs to be removed, select delete to the right of the input to remove the information. This will delete the input from your federal and state returns, as applicable.
