How do i add a miscellaneous deduction on federal return

1. Click on “Federal Taxes” on the left side of your screen.  From here select “Deductions & Credits”.
2. If you are given the option select “I’ll choose what I work on”.  You may be taken directly to the “Your 2016 Deductions & Credits” screen though.
3. From the “Your 2016 Deductions & Credits” screen scroll down to the “Other Deductions and Credits” section (this will be the last section on this page). 
4. Choose “Start” or “Update” next to “Other Deductible Expenses”.
5. Continue through this section until you get to the screen that asks “Any Other Deductions?”.  On this screen select “Yes”.
6. The next page gives you the option to “Report Other Deductions”
