If you are using TurboTax software for your taxes, you can switch to Forms mode to check on editing that line.
If you are using TurboTax Online, you have to change the answers to the question that provides the information for that line.
If you aren't sure where to find that, you will need to say which line you are trying to change and on which form you are trying to make changes. Please also include the name of the state that you are filing.
I'm using Turbotax Online Self Employed and changing my answers to questions doesn't give me any new options to alter 'line' data. I've been simply looking to change my info for the self-employed tax deferral lines. I'd otherwise be done filing. I've spent hours trying to change this. Any help is appreciated.
Here is how:
If you are getting a refund, you will not qualify. If you owe, putting off the payment with no penalties and interest is helpful.
The deferral option only applies to Social Security taxes for self-employment incomes you earned from March 27,2020 through December 31,2020. The income is typically reported on a Schedule C. Similar question to the above but for a different state form. I'm trying to change NJ's NJ-BUS-2 form line 5b but can't figure out how to do this with TurboTax online.
This line is for prior year carry forward which I did outside of TurboTax in previous years - now that I'm trying to start using TurboTax for all of my states, I'm having trouble getting the carry forward initiated properly.
