Hawaii form N-11

I am trying to enter the year the spouse died for qualifying widower.  Form N-11 sends me to Information Worksheet and the box to enter the year on the worksheet is yellow and I am not able to enter information.  Please advise.

I recommend reviewing your information in the Personal Info section of the program.

Go through the screens until you see the screen titled Were You Married?

Proceed to answer the questions starting with the status Widowed.  You will then be able to enter the year your spouse passed away.

You will also be able to review your state input as you proceed through the state interview section.  You will see a screen similar to the following titled We've Recommended a Hawaii Filing Status. 

Confirm the input on this screen as well.

Your input in these sections will pull into your state tax return.
