Georgia Credits Worksheet

TurboTax won't let me file my return.  I checked all three boxes on the Additional Information for the educational express credit form. On the credits worksheet, TurboTax is insisting that I put a number other than O for "amount of charitable donation reported on Federal return as "state/local income tax" even though the amount is 0. How do I get around this since it will not allow me to file?

Can you remove the 0 and leave the entry blank?

Since you have to add back any Charitable Contribution you claimed in your Federal return for QEEC, if you did not claim a credit in your Federal return, you should be able to claim the credit on your Georgia return.

If you entered your QEEC Contribution as 'State Income Tax Paid' in your Federal return, enter that amount in the field requested.
