For SC1040 line M, how does one get credit for interest/dividends from US Obligations.

Downloaded my 1099 B and Div from Vanguard to TT.    I did not see question asking me what state I was also paying taxes in.    I did my SC1040 and noticed they only had $9 vesus the 4,000 dollars that was from federal obligations.     I did not see question asking me or prompting me to enter this info.      This info is only supplementary on my Vanguard 1099B, page 14 of 16.     Seeing I downloaded this info maybe this deduction is overlooked for state taxes.    If one downloaded directly from a broker is there a way to get this information to my SC1040 line M?

Try going back to the dividends section of the Federal return and edit the information that was downloaded.

Double-check that in the follow-up questions after entering Form 1099-DIV information the box is checked stating that 'a portion of the dividends is from US government interest'.  Then you will be asked to enter the amount from Federal obligations.  This should then carry through to your SC return.
