You have to enter the county that you live in, as there are local taxes that differ by county. There should be choices in a drop down menu when you are in that section for TurboTax.

Yes, the issue was that I did not use Capital Letters and the software would not let me change it. Updates have been made now and there is a drop down list to choose from.

Thanks for the update in re a drop down menu.  A friend of mine was able to type in "USA" about 3 weeks ago and, as one can imagine, CA rejected the return.  (She has just gotten back from the UK.) She was unable to get in and correct that error, don't know why, but I've asked her to open a CalFile basic account just in case she still cannot get in and correct it this evening.
