Does virginia allow long term care insurance premiums to be deducted? Where do i enter the premiums?

Yes, Virginia does provide a deduction, from federal adjusted gross income in calculating Virginia taxable income, for long-term care insurance premiums for individuals who do not claim a similar deduction on their federal tax returns.

Select the State tab. If you did not already take the deduction on your federal return, enter the premiums on your state return on the page, Long-Term Care Insurance Premiums Paid.

I am confused on the carryover amounts to be listed in the VA State return for Long Term care. Is that only credits through then end of 2013?
