The amount of long term care insurance premiums should be listed on line 11 of Wisconsin Form 1. However, you must first enter the insurance premiums on your federal Schedule A so that they will carry over to your state return. You must do so even if you are claiming the standard deduction on your federal return.

I finished TurboTax. Federal Schedule A does not accept long term care insurance. How do I get long term care insurance on my Wisconsin tax return line 11
When doing the federal tax, I get to the description "Medical Care Insurance"
I use the last option for Employee or Unemployed to enter my Medicare Insurance.
At the top, I find the following:
Caution:
Do NOT include:
pre-tax ...
Long-term care insurance <<<<<<<<<<<
etc.
So, the form said DON'T include long-term care insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had to figure this one out today myself. This is something that has to be done a specific way when filing for WI. I promise if you follow what this article says you will be able to enter the long term care numbers where you are supposed to so you can finish filing your taxes.
