So I kind of messed up filing my taxes already. I recently got a new job that is on the border of Grand Rapids and another non-taxed town. I mistakenly thought it was Grand Rapids as that is what it comes up as in Google Maps sometimes and wanted to get it done. Found out it actually is in the other town by like literally .25 of a mile. I already filled out my state return that I worked in GR so had to pay taxes. (Should have known since those taxes weren't ever being taken out).
It says I can't e-File with Grand Rapids so I had to mail the CF-1040 form to the city. My question is if the 1040 got sent to the state of MI so I'm expected to be paying the city those taxes I don't actually owe or is it not too late to just forget it and not mail the form out?

You can forget about Grand Rapids and not mail the city tax form. State and city taxes are separate. TurboTax does not support the e-filing of Form CF-1040. It will not be transmitted along with your Michigan state return.
If your other city is supported by TurboTax you can complete that city and mail it. Or you can go to the city website to download forms.

@ErnieS0 Thank you so much! You helped a ton and now I can take a breath and not stress about city taxes I don't owe LOL.
