Do I owe Missouri income tax on out of state income

I live full time  in a certain state (no state income tax as it happens) but was in Missouri for one week working. Lets say that my taxable income was $2000 from Missouri and $198,000 from my home state,  so 1% of my income was from Missouri. Should my state tax owed to Missouri be based  purely on the $2000 I earned there? It seems that the form has me figure the Missouri state income tax on $200,000 which is 9420 and then pay 1% of that. It isn't all that much but they are collecting state income tax on my earnings for 51 weeks I was not in the state just because I was there for 1 week. Is that right?

Do I owe Missouri income tax on out of state income

The Missouri taxable income of a part nonresident individual is calculated as if all income were earned in Missouri.  The Federal Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) will be adjusted using the Missouri adjustments to arrive at AGI from all sources. The AGI from all sources is used to determine the taxable income. After the taxable income is calculated, it is prorated using a percentage of the AGI from Missouri sources divided by the AGI from all sources. This prorated tax is the Missouri tax.
