Do i need to file state taxes

I moved from Florida to Colorado in 2016 and had a W-2 job in FL and a 1099-misc in CO. I did not own a business or own a rental property in either and I believed those were the requirements.

You do not need to file a Florida state tax return. You do need to fie a Colorado tax return as a part year resident.
