I lived on Long Island (Suffolk County) and worked on Long Island as well. I moved into NYC (Queens) in June and updated my address with the state and on other things but failed to inform my employer and update my address on my taxes. Since the business is on Long Island, I did not have NYC taxes withheld for this past half year. Should I just wait until the new year in a week to update my address and start having NYC taxes withheld for the next tax year? When doing my taxes for this past year will I have to pay the NYC tax that was not withheld?

You should give your employer your new address now. There is no point in waiting. It's too late to change the withholding for this year, but at least they will start withholding NYC tax next year. Also, if they are going to send W-2s by mail, ask them to be sure to mail your W-2 to your current address.
NYC tax is included on your NY state tax return. The NYC tax that you owe for 2022 will be calculated on your tax return and included in the total tax. So yes, you will pay the NYC tax when you file your 2022 New York tax return.
The New York program in TurboTax will ask you if you were a full-year or part-year resident of New York City. If you select part-year, it will ask you to enter the dates of your NYC residency. Then it will ask you how much of your income you earned while you were a NYC resident. You will pay NYC tax on that amount. Read the questions carefully. Don't rush through it.

Will they make me pay the NYC tax based on the full year or can I tell them when I moved specifically and provide my income from the time I was living in NYC to be taxed?
