The New York program in TurboTax will ask you if you were a full-year or part-year resident of New York City. If you select part-year, it will ask you to enter the dates of your NYC residency. Then it will ask you how much of your income you earned while you were a NYC resident. You will pay NYC tax on that amount. Read the questions carefully. Don't rush through it.
