Changing CA Turbotax to itemized deductions

CA Turbotax Premier is defaulting to standard deductions even though my Fed Turbotax has itemized deductions. How do I change the CA Turbotax to match my Fed itemized deductions

Changing CA Turbotax to itemized deductions

If you enter itemized deductions in the Federal return in TurboTax, and then prepare a California return, the information about the itemized deductions will automatically flow through to the California return. The California interview will ask you questions about any items that are treated differently by California.

California still allows Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions, such as job-related expenses and some legal and professional fees, that are not currently deductible on the Federal return under current law.

California Schedule CA summarizes all of the differences between the Federal and State return. You can look at the form in Forms mode if you use Desktop. In TurboTax Online, you can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated and review the forms and schedules, once you have paid for TurboTax. See here for details.
