My wife and I live in NH and mostly work from home for both of our MA employers. I e-filed our Fed taxes yesterday and they were accepted. I was hoping that would get me past this error when trying to file MA but I am still getting it:
Reason for e-file ineligibility:
Taxpayer (or spouse) has wages from more than one employer that need to be allocated based on work day inside and outside of Massachusetts.
TurboTax does not support this information to be filed electronically
We each have one employer but I guess this is telling me that we cannot e-file because we both need to apportionate our MA income based on days worked in MA.
Overall I am disappointed that TurboTax Deluxe doesn't support this for efile. Looking at MA IRS website and surprised TurboTax is not even on their list of supported Software apps:
