Can't e-file State Taxes in North Carolina

Purchased Deluxe package . E-Filed Federal and was accepted. When I try to file NC state it says I can't E-File . Have read many of the online questions and am still confused. Any suggestions?

There is one form, the D-422, that was supposed to be ready yesterday (9 Feb).

BUT

Neither the normal weekly Federal, nor State updates have been issued this week yet (as of 7AM 10Feb).

There must be some major bugs the software folks must be working on to delay the update this long.....that is very... VERY Unusual.

Just wait a few days...or better yet, next Friday.  You want your e-file to be correct, even if you have to wait another week or 2.

Just checked the NC State Filing Status for Forms. It says Form D-400 is supported so likely it's Turbo Tax error and I will take your advise and check back with them in a few days.

The D-400 is ready, but the backup form D-422, that might feed into your D-400, was "supposed" to be ready 9 Feb...but the update has yet to be issued this week.

Sometime, between 10AM and 1230PM (NC/Eastern time), today, 10 February , the delayed weekly Federal and NC software updates were released...AT LAST !! ...at least they were for the Desktop software that I'm using , and on whatever TTX server Raliegh is using.

If you are using Desktop/download software, run your software updates.  After that, if software updates install, run thru BOTH the Federal and the NC Error checks...and see what happens.  The D-422 that was blocking things has been finalized...but I have no idea if something else is blocking yours.

IF you are using the "Online" software, the software updates usually issue about the same time, but it is possible they might wait until late tonight to install them when things are quieter and fewer people are online.
